Caddyshack at Tee it Up Golf

I'm Alright! Don't nobody, you know, worry about me!

If you talk to any parks-and-recreation director in the United States, they'll know Lois H., the booking agent for 16MM movies at Swank Motion Pictures in Illinois Missouri (thanks, #030!). Swank is the only company that still circulates 16MM films, and their stock is diminishing as the most-beloved films get played to ribbons. There are ZERO prints of "The Goonies" left, and just one - ONE — ONE PRECIOUS 16MM PRINT of "Caddyshack" left.

This print of Caddyshack — the last Caddyshack print publicly available — has maybe just one viewing left in its tired acetate, and we've got it this weekend.

Here's the whole movie in 60 seconds, to whet your appetite:

Tee It Up Golf

I'm all right!

Tee it Up Golf is the driving range that you can see on 202 across from Spaz Beverages, just south of West Chester. They also have mini-golf(!) On their website, they list "Scenic Hitting towards 202 (can you reach it?)", and that just sounds like a challenge to me. Perhaps you win a steak, or a golf bag that plays Journey.

They'll be staying open late just for us. Bring your lucky putter! Hit a bucket of balls before -- hell, during -- the movie! PLUS-FOURS AND HATS WITH POM-POMS RECOMMENDED. I'm talking to you, Toren.

Tee it Up Golf is on 202, across the road from Spaz Beverage. As you're coming down 202, make a left on Matlack, then another left just past Agway.

Please let me know what I left off this page by shooting your questions to ! See you Saturday!
Jerzy W.: Dashing Clothes Horse and Fearless Ball-Cart Daredevil

After-Showing Report

Oh, MAN. I cannot believe that they let us drive the armored ball cart around while under fire from golf balls. That was the BEST EVAR. Thanks for coming out, and thanks to Jerzy W., who won the costume contest with his godawful Chucks and his wooly tam-'o-shanter complete with pom-pom. Good job, Jerzy! You clearly stand for goodness -- and badness -- SIMULTANEOUSLY, just like Danny Noonan himself.

Also a huge thanks to Anthony and everyone at Tee it Up Golf, who were really friendly and helpful. They have mini-golf! They have cool robotic ball machines with archimedean screws that deliver the balls to the second-floor hitting deck! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. See you there!
